"It’s taken a great sheet and made it even better," said Neil McCarthy, head of sales and marketing at UK dealer Pyramid Display Materials. "Our customers wanted a smoother and whiter sheet, and that’s what they’ve now got."

Standard Foamalite sheets have been replaced by Foamalite Premium, while a new product Foamalite Xpress has also been launched.

The new products are the first fruits of the joint efforts of Irish firm Foamalite and 3A Composites since it was bought by the Swiss firm last summer, according to McCarthy.

"These new sheets have the best of both 3A Composites and Foamalite’s technology," he said.
To enhance the Foamalite brand a new light protective film with the name inkjet-printed onto it will identify the new products.

Pyramid Display will stock the boards at its Gateshead, Birmingham and Manchester depots in 1,220x2,440mm, 1,560x2,050mm and 2,050x3,050mm sheets offering same day and next day delivery.
