The East Sussex-based company has also invested in a new storage and fulfilment facility next to its current premises, which is set to open in January and will provide an additional 26,000 square feet of space. The building will be used to store up to 2,500 pallet bays for customers and for expanded mailing facilities.
Pureprint Group business development director Richard Owers said: "We have been impressed with the quality of the two HP Indigo presses that we installed last year, which are running at capacity, and so we have decided to invest in a third.
"We like the Indigo because of the quality of the print and also because of its versatility - you can use lots of different types of paper in the machine.
"We invested in the new premises because we are also looking to increase capacity in our facilities and fulfilment service."
The company said that its turnover for the 2011 financial year was £25.2m, a 26% increase on 2010, and that its continued growth is coming from existing markets buying new products and services. Pureprint said it had recorded a "similar improvement" in pre-tax profits.
Owers added: "The business is growing significantly and we are offering a wider range of services for our customers. Next year we expect to see growth in digital printing, our facilities and fulfilment service and our traditional litho market. Our customers seem to like our financial stability and our continued investment in the most up-to-date machinery."
The range of services currently offered by Pureprint includes litho and digital printing, cross media, storage and fulfilment and project management services.
The company has recently taken on Andrew Brooks and Mick Harris, formerly of St Ives Westerham Press, who have joined its customer services department. It is set to take on more staff next year for its storage and fulfilment facility.
Pureprint installed a Kodak Magnus 800 Quantum platesetter and upgraded its Prinergy Connect workflow system in October in a bid to streamline its production workflows and improve the quality of its plate production.
