Anyone can vote up to once per day for their favourite packaging created by a young designer by visiting the Pro Carton website. Voting closes at midnight on 13 September.
Run by the European Association of Carton and Cartonboard Manufacturers, the award saw its highest-ever number of entries in 2019, with 461 submissions from 70 schools and universities across 24 countries.
The jury shortlisted 24 designs that have been entered into the final round, which will see the public choose the best packaging creation from the young innovators.
Tony Hitchin, Pro Carton general manager, said: “Cartonboard is a fantastic packaging material and we hope that by reaching out to the public, we can show them that not only is it biodegradable, recyclable and renewable, it is also highly versatile, with opportunities for ingenious new designs that are sustainable.”
