PrintSmith Sign adds signage and wide-format digital print features to the MIS package, which is aimed at small commercial printers, quick printers and copy shops.

"As the sign segment of the printing industry continues double-digit growth and, as printers look to diversify by adding sign-making capabilities, the time is right to introduce a version of PrintSmith tailored to this market," said Marc Olin, vice president of EFI's Advanced Professional Print Software division.

He claimed that PrintSmith Sign was the only MIS to cover wide-format, screen print and digital page printing in a single system.

Wide-format and sign features include the support for square area print pricing, square areas and linear finishing, as well as rigid and flexible substrates.

PrintSmith Sign integrates with EFI's Fiery XF large-format RIP, along with its Storefront web-to-print package.
