The move, which follows Printpak's decision to offer a free Community edition of its MIS to all print companies, enables all charities with a registered UK charity number to claim a free copy of the full Premium Printpak MIS.

According to Printpak, the only cost will be a small annual support fee.

Norman Marks, managing director of the London-based company, said: "Times are difficult for most companies, including charities, and we hope that any UK charity print or print buying department that doesn't currently have an MIS will contact us to take advantage of this offer."

Printpak claimed that more than 700 users have downloaded the software since the Community edition was launched in November 2008.
