PrintIT! Scotland will tap into more than 300 schools across the country and will feature free teaching coursebooks and student guides, as well as online lesson plans and multimedia resource materials.
Commenting on the launch, PrintIT! project director Paul Evans said it had been "a truly collaborative effort".
"I’m delighted that we are able to introduce this initiative into Scottish schools and am confident we can replicate the success that PrintIT! has enjoyed so far in showing students what print can achieve in today’s world and how they can play a part in its future as potential industry leaders of tomorrow," he said.
Schools that take part in the programme will be able to partner with local print businesses in order to gain hands-on experience and mentoring from those in the industry.
Bob Hodgson, director of Graphic Enterprise Scotland, added: "It’s really exciting to be involved in a project that not only plays a role in the education of our youngsters, but also gives them the opportunity to learn more about our high-tech industry."
Last month, it was revealed that PrintIT! had attracted more than 100,000 students to participate in the school-based campaign since its launch in 2005.
