The new five-colour machine will be installed in January and will run alongside its existing NexPress 2100. It is the second time Printflow has become a beta site for NexPress. The company was among the UK's first to use the 2100 (PrintWeek, 19 October, 2001).
"We have had a very good relationship with NexPress and the new glossing unit will appeal to our customer base," said Printflow director Simon Baker. "It will be far more efficient and we have refurbished our site to make room for the new press."
Printflow's core business in digital is from advertising agencies needing personalised material. Baker added that the firm would continue to invest in digital technology.
Earlier this year the company installed a Horizon StitchLiner 5500 (see Me & My Machine, p22). Printflow also has a litho operation that produces magazines, newsletters, stationery and annual reports.
