NexPress European sales and marketing director Paul Willems said the fifth unit was a "significant step forward" and "hit 86% of corporate-branded" colours.
The NexPress 2100 will be sold as three packages, the Essential Solution, Power Solution and Optima Solution.
"The three configurations are tailored to three different clients. The larger portfolio means that it can be adapted for customers' specific markets," said Willems. The Essential Solution is designed to be a "starting point for anyone" and is designed for short-run or quick turnaround jobs. Power Solution includes web2print software and variable data printing product NexTreme. The Optima Solution, the full package, includes hardware, software and consultation services. It is designed for higher volume applications and complex jobs.

"The laser spot that we generate with the new ProSpot has an optimal size and shape," said Heidelberg head of imaging systems product management Andreas Forer.
"We're pleased that Heidelberg has shown its commitment to DI presses," added Presstek general manager for on-press imaging Peter Bouchard.
