The company is using the new machine to complement a fleet of six digital presses that includes a Xerox DocuTech 6180 and an existing iGen3.
Paul Manning, account director at the Clerkenwell, London-based printer, said there had been a steady increase in the demand for colour work.
"A lot of our clients want quick turnaround, high-quality work. People say print can move where it wants, but our customers in and around London demand quick turnaround jobs and that's driving volumes up," he said.
According to Manning, another catalyst of the increased volumes is work stemming from Cross Media Communications, a company founded by Printflow this year.
"We're printing highly variable jobs and the additional capacity of the second iGen gives us the flexibility that we didn’t have before," said Manning.
The £5m-turnover business has 47-staff and services the financial, events, government, retail and commercial markets.
