The event, held on 13 May, had more than 130 participants from a range of industry sectors.
Pre-registration for REACH begins on 1 June and there is a deadline of 30 November for companies that import or manufacture chemical substances within the European Union.
Any company that does not pre-register risks an immediate cessation of supply by the end of the year and printers need to ensure their suppliers have taken REACH into account.
REACHReady's technical director Jo Lloyd said the pre-registration process was simple.
"It's been likened to shopping online," she said. "The difficulty for businesses is knowing which of their substances to pre-register and that is definitely not as simple as it first appears.
"I can reassure businesses right now that pre-registration does not oblige anybody to go ahead to full registration. It is vitally important that you find out if you should pre-register substances – missing the deadline will have serious consequences if your supply of a substance ceases by the end of the year."
REACHReady plans to repeat the event in August with updated information.
Printers warned to take note of REACH pre-registration
