PrintCity, which was formed in 1999 as a marketing initiative for Drupa 2000, has described itself as a strategic co-operation of best-in-class companies.
PrintCity managing director Rainer Kuhn said that the decision to dedicate the stand space to commercial web was made two months ago.
While Ipex is not focused on web technology we believe that many visitors will have an interest in the area. We didnt want to build a massive machine because of the huge investment, but wanted to show what PrintCity has to offer, said Kuhn.
PrintCitys halls are numbers 17 and 18 at the exhibition, which takes place from 9-17 April at Birminghams NEC.
In keeping with the general PrintCity philosophy, the Web Technology Centre will demonstrate members ability to integrate their products into a complete working solution, while still retaining an individual identity.
Participating members include Axima, Baumller, Gmmerler, MacDermid, MAN Roland, Megtec, Planatol, QTI, Schur, Sinapse, Sun Chemical, UPM-Kymmene and Weilburger.
