PrintChannel.com and Indigo are set to join forces at Print 01 in Chicago. The show, which runs until 13 September, sees the two companies launch a joint project to demonstrate the power of their combined technologies.
The On Demand Print Program, which will also run at Print UK, will include live demonstrations.
Were practising what we preach and demonstrating the advantages of having an e-commerce front-end connected to a digital output, said PrintChannel.com UK marketing manager Steve Whiting.
On our website it says we can go from the web to digital press in 13 minutes, and were going to prove it. Were filling a capacity thats been lacking for quite some time.
The demonstrations will be run on the Indigo e-Print Pro+, designed for short-run, on-demand jobs.
PrintChannel.com intends to take live demonstrations one step further at Print UK later in the month.
The online procurement company said it was planning to create a print order live at the show, which will be proofed onscreen and sent to a printer 50 miles away.
A webcam link will show the finished product rolling off the presses. PrintChannel.com said the printer on the firms stand would be one of its existing customers.
