Eight firms will show products based on PPML, the variable data file format, at Print 01 in Chicago this September.
Firms showing PPML-compatible products will include Barco with its FastRIP, CreoScitex with Darwin and Spire, EFI with a new series of Fiery servers, Indigo, NexPress, Pageflex, Xeikon and Meadows Information Systems.
A self-guided tour has been organised by PODi. Visitors interested in the use of PPML can pick up a PPML Passport that shows where to go for demonstrations. Collecting a stamp from each stand entitles visitors to a copy of the second edition of PODis Best Practices in Digital Print, a book providing information on how to conceive, design and produce a personalised print campaign and backed up with 50 case studies.
