Print Factorys DM arm set for kit investment

The Print Factorys direct and transactional mail division is to expand with more staff and kit, according to group managing director Steve Brundle.

Launched in May, Print Factory Direct has a workforce of 50 and is expected to grow to 80 in the next few months. The additional recruitment is due to the firm hitting its target of 50m mailing pieces two months ahead of schedule. It is now on target to achieve a turnover of 10m within 12 months.

"There will be more kit added in the next two months," said Brundle. "The market is very good at the moment, particularly in transactional mail."

The division operates out of a 3,700m2 facility but suffered a blow after its first managing director Neil Pike left after just two months. He was replaced by Phil Brooks who was previously with local firm KDM. Print Factory Direct's clients include Sky, Ladbrokes and Hilton Hotels.
