Tentatively called Applause, the wet-offset negative working plate will be available on aluminium and polyester bases.
The aluminium version will be a competitive product to Agfas Thermolite and KPGs no-process thermal plate (Navajo), suitable for use on Heidelbergs Speedmaster 74DI and Komoris Project D. It will also be suitable for use in platesetters.
The polyester version will be available on rolls, for on-press applications like its waterless PearlDry product.
As yet unnamed manufacturers are working on developing presses for the new plate, which will be commercially available "within three years".
