This years awards comprise two ceremonies, one in the North at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds and in the South at the V&A Museum in London, and have no categories, just criteria.
These include elements like print excellence, innovative use of paper and board, and innovative use of photography.
Suppliers were also involved in the judging process for the first time, while more emphasis was placed this year on the printers.
All entries were split into north and south regions. The Collection featured 10 brands on which work was produced: Cypher, Naturalis and Essential Printers board from Tullis Russell; Galerie Art from M-real Anekoski; Galerie Image and Vision from M-real Packaging; Nimrod from M-real Sittingbourne; Essential Coated from Condat; and Evolution and Diamond from the Marchi Group.
Among this years design judges were Ben Casey of The Chase, Manchester, and Nigel Davies from The Partners, London, while PrintWeek paper editor Andy Scott joined the panel this year to judge printed work on behalf of M-real Packaging.
The winners will be announced in Leeds on 16 October and London on 30 October.
