Premier Integrated Solutions has become the UK dealer for the NUR Fresco wide-format digital printer.
The High-Wycombe-based firms move into large format ink-jet follows hot on the heels of its appointment as the UK distributor for the 74 Karat digital press (PrintWeek, 26 May).
We decided to expand our portfolio, weve already got the 74 Karat, said Premier director Richard Bates. We wanted to find a wide-format machine that was better and quicker than anything else.
The deal, which was tied up by Bates and NUR Europe managing director Alon Avnon at Drupa, is currently just for the Fresco. This agreement demonstrates the confidence that both companies have in the ability of the Fresco to satisfy the demands of the market, said Avnon.
Premier may chose to sell the rest of the NUR line, including the Salsa, which it bought last month, at a later date (PrintWeek, 26 May).
Bates sees the firms move into digital as a resounding success and says that it has already got 12 firm prospects for the 74 Karat and four for the Fresco.
In addition to its move into digital presses Premier is about to clinch a deal to supply MIS.
