Polestar to print new BBC mag

Polestar Chantry in Wakefield has picked up the contract to print BBC Magazines new food title, <i>Olive</i>.

The magazine, due to hit the newsstands this week, is a rival to Delicious, which is published by Seven Publishing and printed by Cradley (PrintWeek, 6 November).

The BBC has awarded the repro contract for Olive to Icon Reproduction.

BBC Magazines has also been conducting a review of its repro supplier base.

David Halford, deputy production director and head of procurement, was unable to provide further details as PrintWeek went to press because the BBC was still in the throes of the review.

Its quite a long process, he added. Although we have done some magazines weve still got a few others to look at.
