Polestar has picked up more work from London Property News on the back of Duncan Web Offsets demise.
The groups Colchester plant will print the five editions of London Property News, for City and Docklands, Northwest sales, Southwest sales, Northwest rentals and Southwest rentals. The editions range from 40pp to 148pp, depending on the area covered, and the total number of copies is around 350,000.
London Property News general manager Julia Read said the amount of spare capacity in the web offset market meant she had been "heavily courted" by printers looking to pick up the groups titles. She said she had received information a month before Duncans fall that it was in trouble but had been reassured by the firm that this wasnt the case.
London Property News has not fixed any lengths for Polestar Colchesters new contract. "Well see how it progresses," said Read.
Polestar Colchester also picked up a 12-month deal for the 52,000-run The Property Magazine (PrintWeek, 22 June) which was previously printed at ET Heron. The plant is looking at going CTP in the next few months.
Other printers that have benefited from Duncans demise include Southernprint and St Ives. Southernprint picked up Emap Automotives Bike, Ride & Performance and What Bike, while St Ives took Emap Esprits Yours specials (PrintWeek, 15 June).
