Polestar signs contract worth 100m

Polestar has renewed its agreement with IPC Media after the signing of a five-year deal worth more than 100m following the recent tender process conducted by the publisher.

The mega-deal covers the production of 11 titles within the TX, Connect and Ignite magazine portfolios and includes the men's magazine title Nuts and Woman's Own. Production will continue across Polestar's web and gravure sites.

IPC Media manufacturing director Jasper Scott praised Polestar for "transforming its business into one of the highest quality printers in the UK" and added that the contract renewal reflects the faith the publisher holds in the company.

James Povey, marketing director of Polestar UK Print, added: "Although our relationship goes back a long way, Polestar understands that, as a print supplier operating in today's climate, success is all about what you deliver moving forward – not what you have done in the past.

"That is why it is such fantastic news for Polestar that IPC Media has validated our relationship for a further five years."

In May this year PrintWeek revealed that IPC had begun the tender process for the magazines.
