The titles transferred from St Ives, which will be produced at Polestar's web offset sites from July, include Decanter, Loaded, Practical Boat Owner, Superbike, The Field and Uncut from the publisher's Inspire division.
IPC Media has also extended existing contracts with Polestar for 10 titles. The two-year extension applies to Country Life and Angler’s Mail, plus monthlies Cycle Sport, Golf Monthly, Horse, Mountain Bike Rider, Sporting Gun, VolksWorld, VW Camper & Bus and World Soccer, as well as IPC Southbank monthly Essentials.
Jasper Scott, manufacturing director of IPC Media, said: "The expansion and extension of this contract clearly demonstrates IPC Media’s continued confidence in and commitment to Polestar as a key print supplier.
"Polestar’s sustained high levels of service and quality are such that this is the right decision for these famous brands."
Polestar already prints and binds 11 titles published by IPC Inspire and IPC Connect, including Nuts, Chat, Woman, Woman's Own and Woman's Weekly.
James Povey, marketing director of Polestar UK Print, said the company was "proud" to extend its relationship with IPC Media.
"The team is delighted that IPC Media has recognised this commitment and entrusted us with six additional magazine titles to what was already a substantial portfolio of leading brands," he added.
Meanwhile, Polestar has become the latest printer to launch a digital editions service based on YuDu Software's technology, which can repurpose print-ready files for publication online and for Apple's iPad or iPhone.
Povey said: "Polestar is determined to continue to provide multiplatform channels for our clients so consumers can receive or access their publications traditionally through a printed version or online.
"It makes real sense for publishers, who are supplying data to us, to use this new service to access the very latest media, including iPad and iPhone, easily."
