Following the completion of the beta testing the press was moved in May along with two of the firms DocuColor 6060s.
It was always the intention after the beta test to move it to Basildon, said Pims chairman Julian Henchley.
The move means the iGen3, which is producing a lot of colour book covers, is now located with the companys IBM digital webs used to print the bodies making the logistics simpler. It has also eliminated the litho printing of book covers in Yeovil and means the iGen3 is producing a greater volume of work.
Islington now houses five DocuTechs and three DocuColor 6060s.
