Pims buys lead to restructure

Pims could cut up to 60 of its 353 staff due to restructuring following its acquisitions of Communications in Print (CIP) in April and of Jensen Press last week.

The redundancies are subject to consultation with staff representatives, and up to 28 new positions may also be created.

“It’s impossible to say where jobs will be cut or how many,” said marketing manager Natalie Thwaite. “But it’s important to note that we increased our payroll by 138 staff with these acquisitions.”

As of January, the business will split into four “service centres of excellence”.
London will remain as its news distribution and database services for the PR industry, and Peterborough will continue with direct mail.
