Piggotts launches Look Digital to tap into Olympic opportunities

Flags and banners manufacturer Piggotts has created a digital print division with an eye on securing contracts for the 2012 Olympics in London.

Look Digital, based in Essex, is to produce work that includes building wraps, stadium branding and signage.

The work will be produced on its eight-colour, rollfed ColorBooster wide-format printer, which uses water-based inks and can print onto recyclable knitted polyester.

According to Look Digital business development manager Rory Blackwood, the division would promote eco-friendly options for customers in a bid to differentiate itself from the rest of the market.

“Most people in the market are looking ahead to London 2012 and it is our company policy to target events like that,” said Blackwood.

He added: “We can offer clients assistance with the look of their town, city or arena and also recycle products at the end of their life.”

Piggotts’ other divisions include marquee hire and Christmas decorations. It was established in 1780.
