Philip Myers to lift output with 3 Xerox DP155s

Warrington-based firm Philip Myers Press has taken delivery of three Xerox digital presses for an undisclosed sum.

The company has purchased Xeroxs DP155s and gives it the capacity to print documents and booklets. The company has changed its workflow from Meta to PCL.

Philip Myers Press data publishing manager Colin Banks said: PCL gives us more variety and better quality. It also speeds up the production process.

The firms financial director Stephen Bayley added that the new equipment means it will be targeting local councils for business.

Traditionally we have focused on the direct mail market and for the past four years this has been an area of major growth, said Bayley.

He claimed that the three machines will more than double its production capacity.

Last year Philip Myers Press invested 2million in a 12-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster. The company also replaced two of its folding machines with state-of-the art Heidelberg folders.
