Naylor steps up to helm at Philip Myers

Kim Naylor has been promoted to managing director at Warrington-based Philip Myers Press.

She replaces John Walsh who moves up to the new role of group chairman. Naylor was previously sales director at the firm and has been with Philip Myers Press for 16 years. She is also a shareholder at the company.

"Often you need to refocus and take on a new challenge," said Naylor. "The industry is going through tough times we feel it is time to refocus our strategy."

Walsh will be taking on a group role following the acquisition of one of Neston Colour's sites. The Wirral division is called Philip Myers Web (Neston) and was bought from administrators last summer (PrintWeek, 15 July 2004).

Philip Myers Press was formed in 1977 and its clients include Royal Sun Alliance, Halifax and Kingfisher. In 2003 it invested 2m in a 12-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster.
