The joint product venture, which was unveiled last November combines Alwan's CMYK Optimizer technology with Enfocus' PitStop Server, using Enfocus' Switch tool to automate the workflow.
The combined software package will produce files that comply with the ISO 12647 colour standard in PDF/X format, thereby also guaranteeing compliance with ISO 15930, to ensure files are printable and can be ripped cleanly to plate.
Alwan president Elie Khoury said: "We are delighted to have partnered up with Enfocus to bring PDF Standardizer to the graphic arts community.
"PDF producers and print service providers cannot afford file interpretation and reproduction problems as margins and cycle times continue to shrink."
Peter Camps, senior vice president at Enfocus, added: "This joint effort provides the missing link between our respective offerings."
PDF Standardizer was made commercially available on 24 February through both Enfocus and Alwan's distribution channels at a price of €8,000 (£7,153).
