Blades, who has previously held senior positions at Addison, Siegel & Gale and Conran Design, joins following the appointment of two new sales directors in May.
The move is part of a concerted effort to bolster its expansion into the annual report market.
Blades said: "I am delighted to be part of the Park business. In my long experience of the printing industry, I have not come across a company before that is so driven, and so well equipped, to deliver such high service levels."
The appointment comes as Park Communications has notched up a nomination in the PrintWeek Awards 'Report & Accounts Printer of the Year' category.
The PrintWeek Awards take place on 20 October.
