The press was installed in the past few months by MPS over a five-day period at Paramount’s premises in Cannock, Staffordshire, in order to improve the cost-effectiveness and accessibility of the company’s bespoke labelling service.
Paramount managing director Phil Wright said: “We started to look at various eight-colour flexo presses; this would help us push our sales team into different markets and also enable us to produce a higher-quality print than the existing presses, and also at a much higher speed.
“This then would enable us to provide a better cost for our customers, by allowing us to put more work through this new press.”
Alongside printing quality and speed, physical size was also a factor for Paramount, which has limited floor space.
Wright added: “We looked at the ease of operation and set-up times along with press run speeds and were very impressed by the performance of the [EB 370].”
Paramount plans to purchase two other presses next year as part of an ongoing £2m investment and says it would choose MPS again.
