Paragon UK bolsters management with three appointments

Paragon UK has appointed Jason Cicero as managing director of the company, as well as making two additional managerial appointments.

Cicero takes over as the company's chief following the departure of Iain Black, who was Paragon UK group sales and marketing director until April, when he departed the business.

Although not a direct replacement, Cicero's role has been newly created following the high-profile departure.

David Monks has also been appointed as sales and marketing director and Tony Green is now senior purchasing manager.

The trio have been set the task of implementing new working practices, aimed at lowering the company's cost base and improving its profit.

Cicero said: "It goes without saying that when you take on a role like this you have to be focused and driven. I am ready for the challenges that lie ahead and see the new team and structure that we have in place as a very positive first step.

"We do however have our sights set high and recognise that if we are to achieve this delivering exceptional customer service must be the heart of everything that we do. Every Paragon employee has an important part to play if we are to achieve this objective."

Paragon UK is a multi-site business with a turnover of more than £45m. In its most recent results, it posted a loss of £400,000, down from a £1.2m profit the previous year.
