Paragon Customer Communications has scooped two supplier awards from Sainsbury’s Group.

The business was presented with Job of the Year for its work on the Sainsbury’s Christmas rewards programme, and was also awarded  with the retail group’s Outstanding Customer Service gong.

As a result, Paragon CC has become the first company to gain two awards.

Sainsbury’s senior print and publications manager Kelly O’Sullivan said every print job placed was scored using a series of KPIs, which determined the outcome of its supplier awards.

“We believe it’s important to recognise when things go well and not simply flag things when they go wrong,” she said.

Nick Barbeary, director of consumer and commercial brands at Paragon CC, said the firm’s ethos was “putting the customer at the heart of everything we do”, and he was delighted that the recognition from Sainsbury’s had validated its efforts.

“We are honoured to be the first company to receive two prestigious awards from Sainsbury’s Group in the same year. Working together we delivered a number of exciting multichannel projects in 2020,” he said.

“We're very proud and it's great for our team, too.”

Businesses within the Sainsbury’s group include Argos, Habitat, Sainsbury’s Bank, and the Sainsbury’s Tu and Home brands.

Paragon CC is part of Paragon Group, the €1.08bn (£928m) turnover business that holds the number one position in Printweek’s annual Top 500 report.

Earlier this month Paragon CC announced that it was donating a chunk of its Apprenticeship Levy fund to help SME companies pay for training.
