The Liverpool gravure and web printer has been presented with the retail group’s Outstanding Print Quality Award for 2020.
Sainsbury’s brands include Argos and Habitat.
Senior print and publications manager Kelly O’Sullivan said the business used its awards as a way to appreciate supplier excellence.
“Using our KPI’s scored for each and every print job we place, we select the top suppliers to receive awards each year to recognise great work, customer service, quality or flexibility – all the things that we value in our suppliers,” she explained.
“I think we all are quick to flag when things go wrong, but that it’s also really important to recognise when things go well.”
Prinovis UK commercial director Mark Pfeiffer said Prinovis UK had produced a number of high quality print brochures for Sainsbury’s Argos throughout the course of last year, “delivering on time every time”.
“Although there were some curved balls thrown at us during the critical Argos pre-Christmas campaign we worked closely with the client’s print team and managed to overcome these to deliver some highly effective print.
“This is a great partnership with a major UK client that demonstrates how print can really deliver as part of a highly effective multichannel campaign.”
Prinovis UK had sales of nearly £66.8m in its most recent results, for 2109. It is part of the giant Bertelsmann Printing Group business.
O’Sullivan said the print and publications team will make further awards during the course of the coming weeks.
