De Voogds new role follows his recent appointment as acting chief executive of Buhrmanns paper merchanting division (PrintWeek, 13 November).
De Voogd previously held the position of Buhrmanns regional president of the paper merchanting division for the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Scandinavia.
He will oversee PaperlinX Europe, which now comprises PaperCo, and the former Buhrmann operations of Robert Horne, Howard Smith Paper and M6 Papers.
PaperlinX offered Buhrmann 522m for its paper merchanting division in June and gained approval for the deal from the European Commission in October.
