PaperlinX focuses on Burhmann posts

PaperlinX has started talks over the appointment of a European chief executive to oversee the newly acquired paper merchanting operations of Buhrmann (<i>PrintWeek</i>, 26 June).

PaperlinX took control of the operations from 1 November, and talks are already underway with senior Buhrmann staff.

However, PrintWeek understands that George Dean, president of Buhrmanns paper merchanting division, has already been ruled out of the running for the position.

Eduard de Voogd, regional president of the paper merchanting division for the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Scandinavia, has been made acting chief executive of Buhrmanns paper merchanting division.
