Palframan joined the then Bath Press Group which was acquired by CPI in 1999 in 1994.
Palframan will leave the group this week, and his departure was described as amicable. He said he had had a tremendous eight years in the book printing industry.
It has also been a great privilege to have worked with such contrasting personalities as Roy Hill and Timothy Bovard, for whom I have tremendous admiration, he said.
Jim Daniels takes on the role of managing director of CPI UK, and retains his Mackays and Cox & Wyman remit. Chris White continues as managing director of the general books division.
