Packaging prototyping firm Pakready prepares for global push with Sizer appointment

Packaging and point-of-sale prototyping systems firm Pakready has appointed print industry veteran Derek Sizer as managing director to spearhead its global expansion.

The Cheshire, UK-based firm develops and supplies systems for the rapid prototyping of 3D prototypes ranging from small pharmaceutical boxes to large POS and POP displays. It claims that it can output a printed prototype onto a range of substrates in as little as six minutes.

"Time-to-market is king," said Sizer. "Pakready gives brand managers and packaging developers an accelerated route to market and a low-cost option to test market products. It's great to be at the helm of a company that can make such a big contribution to the value chain."

Sizer joined from litho CTP manufacturer ECRM, where he was in charge of the firm's European and Asia dealer network.
