The assets of the four CSM companies in administration with RSM Robson Rhodes are on the brink of being sold to sister company Ovenden Colbert.
Administrator Simon Bower said that there had been interest from a number of companies, but that one offer in particular was in the process of being finalised.
Ovenden Colbert managing director Len Colbert said: Were still in discussions and making progress, but, as with all these things, the details have to be ratified.
Directors placed CSM Group, CSM Digital, CSM Sheetfed and Finishing Touch (London) into administration earlier this month (PrintWeek, 17 August).
In the year to 30 April 2000 the CSM Group recorded a combined turnover of 22m with a pre-tax profit of 847,133.
