A statement from the Girona-headquartered group released today (11 December) stated: “This strategic alliance sets out a new chapter of growth and collaboration between the two companies, with increased production capacity and responsiveness, whilst providing access to new markets and key sectors.”
Vince Brearey, general manager of operations at Aylesford, Kent-based Offset Print & Packaging, said: “Becoming part of Alzamora Group is a crucial step for Offset.
“This collaboration will allow us to benefit from extensive operational synergies, strengthen our capabilities to customers, and continue to grow in a competitive and globalised environment.”
Alzamora Group said the move would provide it with opportunities to boost its manufacturing capacity and expand its presence throughout Europe and the UK. The group now has a presence in more than 20 countries in Europe, North Africa, and South America.
Ferran Berga, Alzamora Group UK director, added: “With the incorporation of Offset Print & Packaging, we take a big step in our internationalisation strategy. Together, we combine our strengths to offer solutions that are better adapted to the needs of every market.”
The group said the “integration” would reinforce its production capacity, boosting its headcount to over 300 and its turnover to more than €80m (£66m).
It added synergies between the group’s three production plants in the UK, Spain and Portugal would optimise operational efficiencies, improving competitiveness and market responsiveness.
Edward Bone, general manager of sales at Offset Print & Packaging, also commented: “Offset is proud to take this step with Alzamora Group and will continue to build on our strengths with innovation, quality and customer service as the cornerstones of our growth.”
Last year Offset Print & Packaging installed a Koenig & Bauer Rapida 145 press, following the completion of extensive preparatory works including the removal of a 40-metre mezzanine floor.
The business specialises in high-end custom packaging for clients in markets including food and beverage, cosmetics, homeware, and technology.
Offset Print & Packaging employed 100 staff for the year ended 30 April 2024 according to filings at Companies House, and has total sales of circa-£25m including its Dutch entity Offset BV.
