Oc to sell Kodak production kit into the Netherlands

Kodak Graphic Communications Group (GCG) has enlisted the help of Oc-Nederland BV to boost sales of its Nexpress digital production colour press in the Netherlands.

In a deal reminiscent of the two companies' existing relationship for the German market, GCG has signed a partnership agreement that will allow Océ to sell the NexPress directly to its customer base.

Philippe Berte, managing director of Kodak GCG, Benelux and Nordics, said: "We are delighted to be partnering with Océ-Nederland to sell the high-end Nexpress presses in the Netherlands.

"We believe that there is a huge market out there for digital production colour presses and working together we can offer a wide range of end users the ideal solution for their businesses."

The partnership, which commenced from 1 October, will enable Océ to sell Kodak digital production presses including the Nexpress S3600, S3000, S2500 and S2100.

Jan Verschaeren managing director of Océ-Nederland, said: "We endeavour at all times to offer our customers a broad selection for their printing needs and so by adding [the Nexpress] to our product portfolio we are completing the range of presses that we provide.
"We are very much looking forward to working closely with Kodak and firmly believe that this partnership will provide huge added value for our customer base here in the Netherlands."

The Nexpress range offers up to five-colour digital printing capability at speeds ranging from 2,100 to 3,600 A3 sheets per hour, or 70-120 A4 letter pages per minute.

The fifth station allows printers to add in-line one of a wide range of features including watermarking, glossing, protection coating, colour gamut expansion, security features and dimensional textures.
