Oc has announced a software package to encourage firms using Xerox black-and-white digital printers to switch to Ocs printing hardware.
DPconnect allows users of Xeroxs DigiPath front-end workflow system for high-volume black-and-white digital printers to drive its own Demandstream printers.
It will be shown for the first time at Print 01 in Chicago next month and will be available to end-users in the first quarter of 2002.
DPconnect receives the DigiPath print data and automatically converts it into a format that is suitable for the Demandstream without the need for any additional software.
Oc claims that users of DPconnect can continue to work with potentially huge catalogues of legacy documents created using DigiPath.
