The printer came top in the Spot Color Digital Printing Equipment category and received an honourable mention in the Monochrome Digital Printing Equipment nominees, earning the firm its second Best of Show honour in as many years.
Océ North America president and chief executive Joseph Skrzypczak said: "To win this honour two years in a row is gratifying for Océ and for our customers, who place their trust in our solutions. The Océ VarioPrint 6250 printer won Best of Show in 2006, and we are proud that the system has been recognised for its breakthrough technology this year."
The 9240 is aimed at on-demand, transactional, book publishing and other markets. It produces 852 black-and-white and 231 three-colour pages per minute.
