The first additions to the range are the mono 120ppm 4120 and 106ppm 4110 models designed for printshops and in-house operations producing between 100,000 and 2.5m prints a month.
The 4000 series is fully modular allowing for each press to be upgraded to a more productive model if required.
It also features Océ CopyPress imaging, which is claimed to press the toner directly into the paper at temperatures that do not curl the media.
Rob Pijpers, international product line manager at Océ, said: "Total production productivity is a combination of reliability, throughput, ease of use and quality. The Océ VarioPrint 4000 series delivers all these advantages, making it the most productive print system in its class."
The Océ VarioPrint 4000 series will be available worldwide at the end of 2008.
