New presses include a version of the Speedmaster 74 with new feeder first seen on the latest Speedmaster 102 and high-pile delivery. It has also launched a long perfecting B3 press, the Speedmaster SM-52-8-P-H, an eight-colour machine capable of 4/4 printing using a new sheet transfer mechanism.
The Quickmaster DI 46-4Pro will be shown, which uses a new imaging head from Presstek the ProSpot, which provides higher image quality.
It is also being driven by a MetaDimension RIP, which allows the QMDI to be linked into a JDF workflow via Heidelberg's Prinect Printready workflow.
Heidelberg's Prinect workflow range has been split into three sections covering management, pre-press and press.
Its soon to be divested NexPress will be shown with the long-awaited fifth imaging unit and with more powerful workflows, including UK firm Pelagon's Web2Print software, which the firm has been selling in the UK since last summer.
A revamped M-600 D web will be shown with new drives, JDF-compatible controls and JF-70 combination folder.
Finishing launches include the Easyfold for folding short run 2pp jobs, ST350 12,000 cycle per hour JDF compatible saddlestitcher and long run Pacesetter 1100, a 20,000 cycle per hour stitcher which can have up to 40 stations. A new range of perfect binders for short and medium runs will also be unveiled at the show. The Eurobind range has productivity of between 200 to 2,000 books per hour.
