NexPress E125 set for DPW premiere

NexPress has added a new member to its Digimaster E Series. The E125 is a 125ppm machine which joins the 150ppm E150 announced at Drupa.

Both the machines are developments of the original Digimaster range with improved paper handling, productivity and quality.

NexPress has come out fighting against Xerox with its latest products. Product manager Kathleen Cervi said: "Customers tell us our products are more competitive than others. A Digimaster that costs the same as a [Xerox DocuTech] 6135 has the productivity of a 6180."

Features of both E series machines include the ability to print onto coated and offset stock, including gloss, in heavier weights and larger sizes. Maximum paper weight has increased from 200gsm to 266gsm and sheet size now extends to 364x470mm.

The productivity of both machines on intermediate sized sheets A4 to A3 has also been improved.

Both use a new Sun Fire V240 server, which is three times faster, to run the latest workflow, version 6, which includes PDF 1.5 compatibility and the ability to define up to 200 paper stocks. The E125 costs 128,000, the E150 180,000.

The original 110ppm Digimaster 9110 is still available and now costs 114,000.

The E125 will be on show at Digital Print World.
