Newspaper industry experts set to appear at Publishing Expo

Leading figures from the newspaper industry will be speaking at this year's Publishing Expo to explain how technology is transforming the sector.

At 11am on the first day of the event (Wednesday 11 February), Guardian News and Media's managing director Tim Brooks, along with MediaWeek editor Steve Barrett, will examine and discuss the future of the newspaper industry.

Later in the day, at 2pm, Guardian Media business development manager Torsten de Riese, The Scotsman online business development manager Liz Percy-Robb and Olivia Ralston from The Times and The Sunday Times, will detail how they have created and manage online archives. The speakers will reveal the popularity of this otherwise "dead" content and how they have monetised this.

And at 3pm, The Guardian head of colour reproduction Dave Kirwan will talk through the changes brought about by Fujifilm's XMF C-Fit image enhancement software to its picture production workflow.

Seminars take place in Theatre A at Publishing Expo, which runs on 11 and 12 February at London Olympia 2.
