As managing director, Holmes has taken on the role to drive the next phase of development at the company, which also supplies digital print software from companies such as Red Tie and Direct Smile, in addition to the HP Indigo presses.
Holmes called the appointment "a tremendous opportunity" and said he planned to "accelerate the growth and development of the company's Indigo install base", anticipating a 30% hike over the next year.
In his new position, he will develop the supplier's account management operation by "actively working with clients".
"I want to enhance the effectiveness of our customers' business and make digital work for them through their existing presses as well as future investment," he added.
He joins from HP where he was responsible for sales and account management within the company's Indigo division.
The 14-staff distributor anticipates the portfolio of new HP machines that include the 5500, 3050 and the 3500, will help fuel the company's expansion.
