The machine, which is sold in the UK by Encore Machinery, can now apply end papers to a book block without damaging the end paper.
Previously, during the milling and notching process, the end paper would be destroyed.
Encore Machinery managing director Mike Biggs said: "This is a unique and valuable feature for this type of machine. It is normally only available on binding machines that are many times the price of the Newbind. We believe it will open up the market for short run hard case book and photobook production."
The machine is available from £29,000 and currently has a running speed of 200 cycles per hour.
It can run both hotmelt and PUR glue and binds books from 1-50mm thick and 450mm long. Features include automatic cleaning and retractable milling station for sewing books.
