Mayo left Kodak earlier this year after the company restructured its management in EAMER. He had spent more than a decade at the business.
He joined EFI at the beginning of this month in the new role of sales director, inkjet, covering the UK, Ireland and Nordics.
Paul Cripps, EFI vice president and managing director EMEA sales, said: “Martin brings a wealth of experience to us – everything about him is positive, and his expertise will really build up and augment our UK business.”
Cripps said Mayo’s new role “lined up brilliantly” with Paul Cooper, sales director for EFI's enterprise and productivity software; and Clare Revell, sales manager for Fiery in the region.
“We have made strategic long-term investments in the UK and this appointment falls in line with that. We have a committed focus on a market that’s extremely important to us,” he added.
Mayo told PrintWeek that he was relishing the fresh challenge: “EFI is an exciting company and there’s a hell of a lot going on around them. It's a very interesting business, and it feels like everything is possible,” he said.
