New name and new look for A1

A1 Trade Print has rebranded with a new name that better reflects its security print expertise.

The Birmingham company has become A1 Security Print, and has rolled out a new logo and website, www.a1securityprint.com, to go with its new identity.

A1 Security Print produces a range of secure products, including cheques, vouchers, ballot papers and examination documents. It also produces integrated label and card products and offers IT and fulfilment services to its clients.

Managing director Jim Richardson said the rebrand was in tune with the firm’s core security print offering, while still retaining a connection with its heritage. “It doesn’t depart from the 40-year association with the A1 name and the good reputation that has been built up over this period,” he said.

The firm recently gained the Home Office Corporate Security marque for the production of high-security government documents, adding to its existing ISO 27001, ISO 9001 and Cheque & Credit Clearing Company accreditations.

It has also invested in increasing the level of physical and IT security at its site.

A1 was a finalist in the SME of the Year at last year’s PrintWeek Awards, and growth over the past 18 months has propelled sales to £7m at the 63-strong business.

The company is part of MCAARP Holdings, which also owns Integrity Print. MCAARP acquired the A1 business in 2011.
