New Jarrold boosts management team

Norwich-based New Jarrold Printing has bolstered its operations management team with three internal appointments.

Paul Allard, who joined Jarrold Printing in 1974, has been appointed factory manager, to manage all manufacturing from plate production through to dispatch.

Larry Smith, who has been at the company since 1980 and is an internationally renowned expert on finishing, has become bindery operations manager.

Former IT manager Rick Necchi, who also joined in 1980, has been named in the new role of data systems manager, with responsibility for pre-press up to plate production.

As part of the changes, Spencer Armes will take on a wider role as commercial operations manager.

NJP commercial director David Medler said: "Our principle of factory management management across the process rather than any antiquated idea of demarcated departments will allow our line managers to take responsibility across the whole manufacturing process.

"This approach will help us to plan for the impact of new investment and an associated upshift in technology, as well as 24/7 working."
